Educational

Man in spite of his educational, socio-economic, cultural, medical, scientific and technological achievements, continues to manifest inherent multiple syndromes of imperfection in his physical, mental, spiritual, moral, and social realms. It is because, man by birth is imperfect in nature due to the sin committed by the first man. The Bible says that the first man, Adam was created in the image of God (Gen.2:26) but he lost that perfect image following his fall in sin(Gen.1:27; 3:1-19).This resulted in the darkening of man’s understanding in futile thinking and in erratic actions(Eph.4:18; Rom.1:21-25). Therefore the imperfect adults like parents, teachers, etc., although well educated, cannot fully enlighten the imperfect young ones since they are controlled by the sinful nature (Rom3:23; 7:5). Only God can restore them to His perfect image (Icor.13:10). For this purpose, God had to take a human form and appear on earth (ITim.3:16). Thus historically Jesus Christ came to the world to restore the fallen man to perfection (John 3:16; Heb.10:4). The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the Light of the world (Jn.8.12). All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him (Col 2:3). He makes the light shine in man’s heart and gives the light of knowledge (2Cor.4:6). He is also the best teacher the world has ever seen (Jn.13:13). He saves the people from their sins (Mt.1:21; Jn.1:29). He heals the people (I Pet.2:24). In essence, the purpose of His coming to this world was that man may have life in its fullness, i.e, wholesome life(Jn.10:10). So education without Christ is not complete and wholesome.

Christ-focussed education provides a wholesome approach to develop the individual physically, intellectually, spiritually, morally and socially. It serves as a beacon of True light for the wholesome enlightenment and empowerment for the body, soul, and spirit. Such an education leads the student to an enlightening experience with Christ for his whole-being. Thus a Christ-focussed education alone enables the student to get rid of darkness from life by the power of Jesus Christ who is the True Light that enlightens every man (Jn.1:9).
